Welcome to Anne Hutchinson Health Office! Our school nurse strives to keep your children healthy and safe, maintain wellness, and addresses the health related needs of your child. The quality of education and wellness is a top priority in the Health Office. If you have any health related concerns about your child, please call the health office to set up an appointment to meet with the school nurse. Information at a Glance
Illness/Injuries: Please call/email the attendance office with your child's absence each day. Three or more illness/injury related absences may require a return to school note at the discretion of the school nurse. If you know your child will be going for a planned procedure or surgery, please contact the Health Office in advance.
Medication: If your child requires prescription or non-prescription medication during school hours, the school nurse must have written parental permission and a written physician's medication order. Medication will NOT be administered without an order from the physician. Medication must be dropped off to the school directly in the original container.
Emergency Action Plans: Students with Allergies, Asthma, Seizures and/or Diabetes are required to be updated annually.
Food Allergies: At the elementary level, foods/snacks containing peanuts/nuts or manufactured in a facility that uses peanuts/nuts are NOT allowed to be brought into the classroom. Peanuts/nuts and foods containing peanuts/nuts may be eaten in the cafeteria. Anne Hutchinson School has a designated table in the cafeteria that is maintained as a peanut/nut zone. Please label any lunch items containing peanuts so that the lunch monitors are aware and can assist your child to the peanut table.
