A Message from Dr. Villanueva: June Happenings in the EUFSD and Budget Vote Notes

Dear Eastchester Faculty, Families, and Community,

What a beautiful week of weather and events!

On Thursday night, EHS seniors celebrated an important milestone at the Senior Prom on Glen Island, while Greenvale’s PTA Carnival brought excitement and joy to our younger learners and their families. In more great news, our EHS musical ensembles have been representing our district proudly over the last few weeks, participating in a variety of musical competitions and earning high marks!

Yesterday, we held a Community Q&A regarding the district’s upcoming budget re-vote. The session was well attended, with more than 130 participants taking time out of their busy schedules to learn more about this important process. Our community is engaged, our community is listening, and our community is taking action as we speak! 

With good news on the horizon from our New York State Senator Shelley Mayer and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, I am looking forward to the next upcoming Board of Education Meeting/Public Budget Hearing on Tuesday, June 9. At this meeting, I will provide another budget update to our community. All materials from last night‘s Q&A session have been posted to the main budget website.
